13th Century Church, Cliff-side Walk and Stormtroopers! …
The ruins of Layd Church stand just above the village of Cushendall, on the Antrim Coast.
There is a truly spectacular walk back down into the village, mostly high up along the cliff-side path.
It’s perhaps only a couple of miles, maybe a little further if you make the walk circular eg. church/village/church or village/church/village depending on where you park the car, and the footing is pretty good all the way.
Definitely a top NI walk 🙂 … oh, and by the way, spot the Stormtrooper guarding the road up to the church 🙂
