Beach Walk …

We are very fortunate in the number of beautiful places close by Hegarty’s Corner to walk.

We’re not short of variety either.

Walking round Magilligan Point is stunning. Located at the end of an 11 mile continuous beach walk (should you choose) and at the entrance to Lough Foyle. The backdrop across the lough are the hills of Donegal.

Follow the the lough inland and you’ll arrive at the walled city of Londonderry (about 40mins drive from Magilligan) but much closer, just around the beach headland, is the Magilligan Martello Tower and probably of more interest to more folk the Point Bar, in normal times a great place for a pint of the ‘blackstuff’ and a bite to eat 🙂
