The Fort Atop The Sconce …..

High up above and behind Hegarty’s Corner is our mountain, The Sconce 🙂

The views from up there are breathtaking.

On the summit the earthworks of a long gone medieval fort can still, just about, be made out. It’s a bit of a climb to get there but worth it!

Hegarty’s Corner is approximately at the end of my finger on the photo of me pointing. Not sure how accurately the photographer has me lined up, that’s why I say ‘approximately’ 🙂
